UNIVERSITIES
It is edifying to note that the adversary
cannot logically prevail over years of opportunity for meeting to this end, in
BUT IT IS FOR ALL, FOR GOD MADE ALL: blindnesses vary, but sight is the same.
Education, confrontation, refutation, reasoned inter-change and Biblical counselling are elements of what we offer, and are prepared for: the word of God is more than some Desert Storm. It stands by a divine right that earthly kings never had, and all falls before it.
Is it surprising that God whose the world is, sounds like it, and His word acts like it! Surprising or not, you may test and see.
Truth IS exciting!
Demonstrable truth is inviting.
Living truth is necessary - the goal that explains the flitting gurus and sports manias in no small part.
Declared truth is a gift beyond all measure. The sure
testimony of God, the Bible, the available word of God, the irrepressible power
of its author, who fulfils it, and the wonderful blessedness of God the sent
(Isaiah 48:16, Psalm 45), the Lord and Saviour, Jesus
Christ:
these meet like mighty waters at one
blessed place.
Moreover, that same Jesus, the Christ, worshipped by us who believe in Him, also declared: "I am He who lives and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore." Indeed - "Before Abraham was," He states, "I am." His words, quite testable, reflect this. Just as He has supplied doctrine, so does He also give dynamic, perspective and counsel, and is well able to help His people. What He makes, He can meet, and what He saves, He keeps.

8. National concerns- the issues that are crucial for this land need attention from an abiding spiritual perspective, not a worm's eye view; and what is frequently assumed needs to be anatomised, so that its nature may be seen. This century has seen too much wild political presumption to allow inertia; and while the Christian knows that this world and the kingdom of heaven are radically different, prudence, discretion and responsibility are not to be disclaimed now. In fact, courage is required. Read Isaiah 59 as an apéritif.
Many goats have aspired to be gods, the word of God exposing the folly when God says,
"Will you still say before Him who slays you, 'I am a god' ?" (Ezekiel 28:9).
We start with the crucial issue of : national-international
relations and law. This
concerns many nations in parallel paths.
The draughts of rising political air (that soon
changes direction) now appear lofted a little, with a strange new uplift for
the vacuous and sometimes vicious moralising of that
new Moses-without-miracle: and that? it is international Christ-free humanism! As
it is liberated from logic, so too from wisdom.
Despite this, it is now bidding to become law in the land. Back of this law is a very lordly lawyer; but he is not God.

"Almighty God" from our Constitution than from our lives or history.
Arrogance is a futile manoeuvre and ignorance is no
excuse after knowledge has been here for so long. See also
9. State Affairs that demand Christian attention, and that are applicable in principle in the world at large.
Here we must first concentrate on the authoritarian and blatant
at the level of truth and life, that has met this State like a pandemic, giving it a form of leadership for the world among democracies, which could make it the State of ruin. Can a catastrophe be man-induced ? Alas yes!

The first of these literary contributions deals,
in striking tabular form,
with the current and continuing curse on earth
(Genesis 3), in terms of the
plagues of Egypt.
Then, taking that ancient, historic
and indeed epochal Egyptian crisis,
on Biblical grounds (including Micah 7:18ff.):
it provides
an instructive parallel with the
current world crisis,
as likewise a dire warning of what is
yet to come.
THAT in Egypt, it was a mere trailer compared with the universal version to come.
It shows the Biblical plight of the earth, often giddily ignored in a flurry of worry about the symptoms.
It presents the solution, based on recognition of the chronic cause of the plagues of old and of the present time. In both cases, there has been a divine direction for increase, aggravation of the problem, not least that people might seek the solution which, be the problem 'small' or 'great' is as indispensable as is air to the physical lungs.
Chronic diseases often require strong medicine. This case is not different!

Man is bent on his own way;
secular, transvestite man, is seeking to clothe himself not with merely male
garments, but those divine, and this Age is awaiting the coming
pseudo-apotheosis. In this, the Satan, that master change-imitator charlatan,
leads a man to conceive of himself as God, with this difference, that he has
POWER over men, to a limited but still spectacular extent (II Thess.2:4ff.).
This is no mini-explosion of human ingenuity awry, such as gas bombs, radioactive contamination, modified crops, genetically engineered, flowing about the earth with the wind, inadequately controlled or understood. No, it is categories apart from that; for here comes that finale of presumption, the acme of arrogance, that dim brilliance to which modern man for so long has been tending in his forsaken and misused systems of psychiatries, sociologies, histories, biologies, undistinguished events in metaphysics (cf. SMR Chs. 3-4), where theory dictates to fact, and fact refusing to fit, makes the secular preachers all the more vociferous, as if their very loudness would abash.
Since, however, they deploy
themselves in many but far from all academic posts, there are many who heed
instead of thinking; and the marvels of nothing making all, the material
inventing the mental, or the spiritual, or these thinks in succession, but
first of all itself, though it shows no such capacities, and if it had them,
could not have used them before it was: this is ‘cool’.
Indeed, this sort of delusion has become almost as simple as breathing to
the artfully deluded and the spiritually concluded. The great mercy is that a
new commencement can come to any of them by finding the Saviour,
and many of them do just that, thanking God for deliverance from such mesmeric
obfuscation; but more do not!
The
calibration of the dreams attending these delusions is one of the major
comedies of all time, as if a bankrupt were spending years of time enquiring
about the most sophisticated ways of storing his millions, when alas, he is
broke. The machining of dreams leaves them small and fluttering little things,
piled on the dump truck of history for reprocessing, in the manner normal in
secular history, and philosophy. The measurement of the unknown is not a
practical joke, but one of the major emphases of geology, for one (cf. TMR Ch.
7, Section E). The
measure of man himself is always being vied for, never agreed upon, and never
could be, without the truth, since God is not duplicable, and His image is from
Himself. No genome is available for Him, who makes, but is not made, who
composes the things, necessarily in His status being eternal, self-sufficient
and free (cf. SMR Ch.
1,TMR Ch. 7, Section D).
As Christ put it, “Before Abraham,
I am.”
Considering some of the major misconceptions of our Age and observing their
consequences is a grievous task of pathology; but since it may awaken some, and
encourage others, to find or to advance in the faith of Christ, it is provided
here.
