PREFACE

In this volume, there appear the Bulletins for 2016, which starting in April, proceeded to the end of December. Those are numbers 1-35.

Whatever the topic chosen, as challenge or opportunity arose, there is always one result, the things concerning Jesus Christ, more or less directly, prevails, conundrums disappear, realities stand unsubdued, rebellions are shown irrational, and all things conform to His stark superiority over all men, a thing always true of God, whether incarnate as with Jesus Christ, nor in His own form in heaven.

That is one of the ways you know Him. He in word and deed, and in their marvellous wedding, has no challenge from the realms of rebellion which are those of complete irrationality, in its various layers. The logic with which He founded the universe, and formulated, activated and sustained its laws, the freedom with which He gifted man, the abuse of the same by man, it is all comprehensively contained, by Him governed, as God, but not like the ways of man, over-ridden by mere power, or left abandoned to mere licence.

To understand deeply, you really need to know God, but there is no rational alternative, nor even workable option otherwise, anywhere.

The Bulletins are a quick way to find essentials and see the scope of these things in practical ways, or sometimes in underlying basic.

AN AUSTRALIAN CHALLENGE 2016

What Country is This ?

A NATIONAL CHALLENGE 2016

Is it in order to avoid calling Australia the 'lucky country', the blessed country, that so many apparent endeavours are being made to distance, distort, deny, derogate Jesus Christ and His word, as if in a very ecstasy of unthankfulness and a glory of ingratitude ? Is the pushing of the prejudicial proposition that children OUGHT to view what biblically and according to the billions of DNA prescriptions for male and female in each body, is most clear, as instead replaced by the view it is most fluid: the matter of gender ? Will you even consider making constitutional changes based on the view that there is no God who made it all, but that it made itself before it was there to do it ? and such sweet nothings ?

Is there no limit to the acting as if the nation were a god, in the very precincts of our Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act of 1900, declaring States to be coming together "under the Constitution hereby established", and "humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God" ? Is this nation TRYING to be trying, oblivious of pride like Tyre of old, to whose king God through Ezekiel said this:

"Because your heart is lifted up, and you say, 'I am a god, I sit in the midst of the seas,' and you are a man and not a god, though you set your heart as the heart of a god ... behold you shall die the death of the slain in the midst of the seas."

Indeed: "Will you say before Him who slays you, 'Behold, I am a god ? ' But you shall be a man, and not a god, in the hand of him who slays you."

If you WANT to add your name to that of Tyre, Babylon and Assyria as examples and Egypt as given a new and more lowly status to keep (proclaimed and predicted in Ezekiel 28-29), then so be it. Yet please do not seize the latest in idols and delusion as if to desire death, without even thinking what you are, where you are going, and why. At least, know what you are doing when you think, and plan and proceed, personally in choice and nationally in voting, even if confusion must come in a hurry to protect itself amidst the minds of the misled. Do not trade in what is left of the basis altogether, in order to achieve the blight. You want to find out ? It is very easy. Just go on tumbling, auditing the bumbling and then phase 2, imitating a statue amidst an earthquake's rumbling.

As Proverbs declares, a curse without cause does not come (26:2). The reservoir of blessing likewise is prominent, along the channels of divine grace, through the offering of Jesus Christ. Scoffing, scorning or becoming trance-like and inert in its presence are options. So is there another and more substantial way: actually receiving it (John 1:12).
