PREFACE

As in the companion volume, Bulletins Volume 1, here are provided a series of roving reports on issues of God and His word, reminding and demonstrating alike, its unparalleled continuity in refuting criticism, exhibiting the majesty of knowledge and wit of the Maker of all things, and the only Saviour available to man, as also the one necessary for him. Without that Saviour, you have what the world increasingly is, in its vast betrayal of its Maker, self-assertion and riotous rebellion. Without the Bible, you lack what His pronouncements and conditions and remedy are. With it, you have it all, a choice challenge to the spiritual adventurer, as he or she seeks to find something to worship, follow, embrace or tout.

Therefore, on the one hand, you have what is necessarily false, adrift from logic, ignoring observation, the shut-eye parallel to sleep, spiritual sleep. On this, Isaiah 29, Matthew 13 and John 12:40 have sustained words to say, spanning nearly 800 years, and quite unchanging. The nature of spiritual disease does not change, though it can ramify and intensify, and indeed does become more savagely aspiring as time comes for the final confrontation between man and his God (Revelation 19:19). Thus the Lord does not for one moment cease to be God whether or not you happen to believe it, just as a man's loyalty does not cease just because your heart turns against him, and imagines evil.

It is bracing and refreshing, as when the eyes relish a scene and the heart a scenario that works good, to find that the more the word of God tests, the more it attests, and that those who seek to judge the judgments of God become mere items in spiritual history, amid wars and disasters, the de-franchising of empires as of

	Assyria with its Nineveh (cf. Obadiah),
	Babylon with its surreal mixtures of religious stuff instead of orderly reality, (cf. Jeremiah 50-51),
	Egypt with its judicial lowering (Ezekiel 29:14-15).

You see the flighty strength and weakness of the Roman Empire and its more modern representatives (as forecast in Daniel 2 and 7) and the modern build up, many weapons against God being created in formerly Christ-influenced nations, just as they prepare vast arsenals of weapons against each other, verifying the pre-occupation with death forecast in Revelation, and this in line with the horror shows predicted in that prophetic book.

How blessed it is to find the meaning of

	the new returned Israel and its wars, clearly demarcated in the Bible, on which matter several chapters dwell (cf. Bulletins 41,43,46,54,56),
	the essential nature of matter, nothing, the universe, history and destiny (36,59,60
	predestination and freewill (38,44,52,61),
	Genesis 1-3,
	astronomy and creation, maintenance (53,57, cf.36),
	genetic entropy and the implications (39),
	the love of God,
	Australia's plight (42,48
	the ways of the Lord, the explanations which the Bible gives of His ways,
	its majestic austerity in dealing with rebellion masquerading as enquiry, logic like a stranger.

Christ's own answers on earth serve as a proto-type of much more than has come already, and doubtless on judgment day, will come. Arguing the point with your Maker is perhaps the most futile thing possible; yet on the other hand, LISTENING and learning from Him for answers to genuine concerns, is a sheer delight. It always is when the answers brilliantly cover the case, expose malingerers and endorse the seeking.
