PREFACE
The fifth book in this set of volumes on Department of Bible and Spiritual Affairs has one thing in common with the other four. It is presenting matters of biblical moment, and these are all spiritual affairs. The pope (cf. SMR pp. 1032-1088H) has his arrangements, courts and so on; the PM has his; the local club has its own and so on. For the BIBLE there is also a place as the work of a Potentate, in this case the Potentate of Potentate and Lord of Lords, as in I Timothy 616, with I Corinthians 2:9-13). We seek to honour that place, to be active agents in its affairs, as the good Lord enables us, to show its message, examine its content, teach its data, provide insights into its declarations, follow its declamations, pursue its warnings, delight in its wisdom, be astonished at the love it depicts and which its Author has fulfilled; and provide help to appreciate its wonders.
The spiritual affairs which result, and which accrue, are to be seen in the biblical perspective, in which alone they make sense, there being in this, the sole divinely authorised, written word of God to mankind, solution to all logical problems in these terms only (cf. SMR, TMR, and such volumes of verification as

AND WHERE HE IS, DARKNESS DEPARTS).
It is great to have such a book and such a Lord as Jesus the Christ (Colossians 1:17), whose power is sufficient for all, whose love available to all who call upon Him in faith by grace, whose pardon is purchased for any who acts on its offer recognising what it cost Him to proffer, whose wisdom is on high, whose works are innumerable and whose truth is salient. It is equally great to have opportunity to exalt Him, who has given His own life for man, even for all who seek by faith life and its abundance from its source and Maker, deliciously also the Redeemer.
It a joy that others may find Him.
For all these reasons, one proceeds with this fifth work in the series.
