DELIGHTFUL TOPICS TO DEFINE

1. LIGHT

Much attention was given to this topic     previously (see Index), but in this domain, the idea is brevity amid brevity. Major prior matters appear for example in Creation is not a Thing, which is Ch. 3 in Defining Drama, Ch. 5 of Lively Lessons in Spiritual Service and Cascade ... Ch. 6.

Light is a poly-potentiated, polymorphic energy location entity, specialising in making things manifest.

In the same sense of ultimate, there is the definition of life.
 

2. LIFE

What It Is

 But once again the aim here is matching brevity, in the three definitions. Hence ponder the following.

LIFE is a donation without material specifications as to origin, but with coded, comprehensible directions
for continuing generations, expressive of powers inordinately past those of man, himself a beneficiary of its originative action. It is one specialising in expressions ascending  from self-movement to self-regard, with reason, imagination, hope, design and designations in its more comprehensive echelons.

Without reciprocal knowledge of the creative originator of its schema, ground plan and mutually dependent functional correlations,  parts and phases, it is inadequate in knowledge, understanding, perspective and purpose. Inherent in its code is stringent logic, which calls for such results, and not in vain. Its essential workability by many sub-groups of methods, and lack of evidence of billions of futile, dysfunctional trials which are looked for with futile failure,  is one of its heuristic realities. Its source is neither spasmodic nor found to be currently operating at this level, nor is anything other than the creator of this creativity found sufficient or even beginning to match in its powers, the gamut of functions co-ordinated and prescribed in conceptually interpretable commands in the DNA in particular.

It is so Free as to Permit Self-Imposed Blindness

The only difficulty in understanding lies in the logically impossible task of seeking to account for it without having instead of nothing as source of all entities including this, what being Eternal needed no source, and being competent needed no help; and indeed, needing no control, decided when to act in this way (as an author does more generally in creative mode) and when to stop. Such the evidence in  detail confirms.

It is Blighted and May be Righted

The frequent struggles to be found in life can be almost unutterably horrible, loathsomely indulgent; but in contrast to utterly different and  highest aspiration and magnificent wonders which in another spirit may be wrought, constitute an evidence of a fall, falling out with Life's Creator, that only the Bible traces from first to last, in evidentially testable and verifiable comprehensiveness^*1.

There we learn that the Creator who made, has not only an indictment of the human race, and a curse on creation (Romans 8:17ff., Genesis 3, Romans 5), but a necessary salvation (Acts 4:11-12), without which man is not only incomplete (Ephesians 2:12, Colossians 2:9-10), but under duress and in need of peace.

The result of the reconciliation with the Creator, divinely sought for all (Colossians 1:19ff.), is achievable only through this only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23ff., 5:1ff., I John 1) but is, moreover, not only a cancellation of guilt to those who so receive Him (John 1:12ff., Romans 3:23ff., Ephesians 2), but results in heartfelt peace and joy in pardon (Psalm 51) and to such as so respond leads into life eternal, often in the minds of men seeking, but only here in due process for conferment.

DESIGN

This is a combination of cohesively conceivable, unitarily expressible elements or aspects of a whole answerable to a purpose.
