Successive governments have been jointly responsible for this irrational audacity, and have been challenged with never anything approaching relevant, reasoned grounds in reply nor any assent to repeated offer of public debate; and the present Government is no exception.
	It is time such brash and general assault on religion was not given sanction by this State Government, for it was not elected to a political variety of papacy; and if this  or any other State government wishes such powers, it should state its religious intentions before election, in the interests of freedom. Indeed it is time its assault was withdrawn, just as it is time for reason to be met with reason, and challenge to public debate - such as that issued, in the name of the Lord, through the Evangelical Presbyterian Alliance, to those responsible in this Government - with public debate. The mere fact that the official action is inexcusable is no excuse for avoiding the issue. It merely increases the reason for facing it!
