CHAPTER TWO
THERE IS A KINGDOM ...
AND
IF AUSTRALIA WILL FOLLOW
If Australia follows, lead-footed, square-browed, Christ-neglecting, deity-defiling, Bible-bruising,
the amoral path to which it is increasingly committed (Tedious Torturers ... Ch. 10),
then there is a kingdom,
in which as Augustine declared with such force
in his work, The City of God,
it not only would have no place,
being intemperate in terminating any relic of connection.
It would also
become a land either delivering slap in the face to Almighty God
if it removes reliance on Him
from the Preamble to the Constitution,
on which the land has operated for over 200 years,
or else merely continue the earlier one
by continuing the outright fraud of teaching
indefensible myths to children,
while making public the contra-design
indignities of sexual re-orientation.
That is not worship but war.
This is not tolerance but truculence.
This is not neutrality but free use of
liberty itself, to mock and mar any national relationship,
while defiling those now growing up with the
option for continual cultural assault.
You do not have to force any religion on people,
in order to have a character based on one.
Let us not be confused. If you do such things, you are forcing on the land
a new character and a new disposition.
If the people want it as shown in a clear mandate on the point
for a majority Government,
then you would merely be leading them,
like a horse to poisoned waters.
In reality, the nature of the morality and inclination of a given President,
or Party in a democracy is not
commanded in advance.
While there is freedom, option may be taken for any path at the election,
and chosen by the ones who lose or win.
When the time comes, then the chosen Party may of course
act on the principles pre-stated,
provided they do not defile the Constitution, in doing so,
and annul any existing law
which is to the contrary.
As has been pointed out wisely and well by Justice Clarence Thomas
of the USA Supreme Court, in a statement following
a High Court decision, in the USA,
there were ludicrous inconsistencies in the Court,
in seeking to apply the separation of State and religion.
Thus he showed that one Supreme Court ruling
upheld a Ten Commandments display on State capitol grounds,
while another rejected display
because it was located in a courthouse.
He went on to cite an historical approach with approval,
one from one 'founding father' of the Bill of Rights,
James Madison.
With this Thomas agreed.
The pith of what Thomas presented
appears as this:
So long as the display created by a government
office or official does not commit actual "coercion" of citizens,
thus forcing them to violate their consciences
by acknowledging or worshipping
a God not of their choice, then the display
does not illegally create an 'establishment' of religion.
Such is the report concerning this development from Craig L. Parshall,
Senior vice president and general counsel
for the National Religious Broadcasters in the USA,
as reported in Israel, My Glory, Jan-Feb. 2012, p. 9.
He holds that there is no breach of the concept of excluding
establishment of religion, when there is
no force applied.
So long as Exhibition of some religious character,
in person or in objects
of what testifies to this or that, is expression of a liberty,
not coercion, not thrust into dictation,
but opened to the eyes,
there is no establishment.
Thus in Australia, liberty to express your religion does not mean
that you cannot do so.
That would be to move from the quirkish
to the lurk of making liberty a matter of quarantine!
If your religion expresses grounds for belief,
these must be stateable,
so that once it is clear
that there is no violence offered to those for whom
it is shown this presentation is not desired,
there is neither physical force nor pursuant duress
to preclude liberty.
Thus liberty does not mean
surreptitious exclusion*L
by devious devices that preclude presentation in advance,
or for suspect reasons, in fact government exclusion
in a swollen-headed nanny state, usurping personal liberty
by shameless means.
On the contrary, IF you cannot so present,
so that your expression of liberty in this field
in the midst of other expressions by others,
is voided: what then ?
It is then that liberty in religion is defiled, denied,
and some religious view or other,
about the ultimate nature of reality,
is ruling and being established,
possibly surreptitiously,
thus creating an hypocritical fraud.
Already so in schools as often noted on this site,
this suppressive violence,
it is a force that threatens, and that not in this nation alone,
one moving to bring its grisly confusion into play by force,
MAKING people conform to its own theses,
through omission of options and
preclusion of teaching selectively,
while obscuring their expression or reception of
what others hold for stated reasons.
In what way is it doing this now ?
It is in acting differentially,
denying those not of the preferred religious orientation,
access to effective material, teaching skill
or, in a word, education.
That is the position
PRECISELY is the evolutionary fallacy
and fantasy as applied in a large part
of the teaching institutions in this country (cf. Scientific Method...).
You do not need to look to contemporary Egypt for oppression,
or to Syria.
Freedom in effectual parity is dead in this field,
or terminally ill, unless strong change is made.
There should be liberty of expression,
and cohesion of coverage of disputed issues,
and exposure of these to debate and representation,
including equality for students to examine all approaches.
This author has long offered debate with Government
on this issue, repeatedly challenging them;
but it has never been accepted.
Rational argumentation has never been forthcoming
except from the thesis of creation,
where it has repetitively been presented,
without any attempt at rational rebuttal
on the part of Government.
Authority says,
like Simon says in the school game,
but this is no game,
and freedom lies bleeding.
Hearts are hunted, minds haunted
by the flaunting of theories so often negative in verification
as to stagger! (cf. SMR pp.140ff.,
The gods of naturalism have no go!).
That is merely on illustration of the authoritarian insistence.
Denigration by adjectives however
does not constitute grounds for denial.
In schools, it should be this kind of actual liberty,
not the baggage of academic presumption, or else ...
Or else then what ? Then the other option for a government school
would be the omission of the entire topic.
Prejudice never made a good school-master.
Precision and presumption mixed
is not good science.
As for independent schools, the concept of trying
to compel them to conform
to this sort of authoritarian substitute
for learning would be unthinkable entirely,
were it not for the fact that in much
it is already precisely what is happening.
I was once a Principal as well as a Headmaster
of a High School, but would never have conceived concession
on such a topic.
It amounts not only to the establishment of a religion,
secular agnosticism, effectual materialism,
imposition of inadequacies
with baneful twistings
as shown in Repent or Perish Ch. 7,
and Ch. 1 of Tedious Torturers, Secular Myths and Sacred Truth ;
but this in the very place dedicated to another.
Thus it becomes doubly a profanity with urbanity,
a profane substitute
for both liberty and actuality.
In the community more generally:
Some express this or that view, approach, interpretation,
however irrational as in organic evolutionism.
If other people want to express theirs, then firstly,
they may do so subject to exclusion on the duress of force,
and with all liberty;
and secondly, so may a Party
provided it has made itself clear before election.
WHAT a nation comes to represent in Constitution,
history and hence culture, becomes its character.
Part of this may or may not be liberty to differ.
If it does so include, as in Australia,
now only in part in practice,
youth in schools being increasingly
given sub-parity trials to suffer,
then WHAT comes to BE that culture
is assessable...
If as is now occurring rather fast,
that character is changed by innovative or amoral preference,
by duress to didactics for both student and teacher,
then for man and before God alike,
there is a display unit
with which it must now live.
These things being so, we need to consider the case, and this is done in two versified sections, one on the KINGDOM of GOD, and the other on the case of Australia.
THERE IS A KINGDOM
There is a kingdom that is not without the King*1.
There are morals that do not list like a sinking cruise ship, on its side.
There is a steadfastness that depends on no mobs*2.
There is a Leader who was not merely rumbled but crucified*3.
There is a peace to heal wars,
personally presented to the hearts that know
the life of God in Christ.
There is a vitality before all culture*4.
There is a truth before acrid and competing philosophies*5.
There is record of reality that outlasts
the competing fairy-stories of men*6.
There is a joy that despises the destruction of drugs*7.
There is a contentment that avoids rat-race,
a beauty that does not involve any darkness,
a discipline out of love and
a love out of God,
whose input is personally planted in Christ:
The towering tree with perfume like the frangipane*8,
in which the varied birds of traffic may rest*9.
There is a Rock that warns of sand foundations*10.
There is a blood attesting death
Not on account of callow lusts
or needless violence
but out of love to enable life.
There is a divine desire, now satisfied*11,
to crucify with itself
the poison of sin
and grant reconciliation*12
by removing the guilt which divides
man and God
for all who come
to this One,
the man of wonder,
even Jesus Christ personally.
There is a kingdom of heaven
whose ways are heavenly*13,
whose works are a wonder*14,
where wisdom rules
and unfaithfulness evaporates.
Its rays shine in the Sermon on the Mount*15,
from the lips of this same Jesus Christ,
sent to secure salvation in Himself,
to purchase it from the power of death,
that it might not lie there, confounded.
This salvation is not only workable, but most pleasant:
Better than survival*16,
Ready for revival.
Here are Eternal Ways,
for the wise,
who are such from His grace,
who puts all things in place.
There is a kingdom where
you do not need boat people*17,
or inundating vote people,
or meandering dote people,
because it is the kingdom of God.
Here truth rules,
vision spills like radiance from light*18,
love embraces a delicious liberty*19
and peace descends like rain to parched earth,
too long dry.
It does not depend on man, but God*20,
on violence but virtue,
on force but faith,
and though it starts for man in time,
it endures through eternity, where He is found*21.
He is never lost, for He never leaves.
Heres it he end of triviality
and the seat of endurance
which is not for the strong,
the rich,
or the deceitful,
but for the saints*22 of God,
who come when all are called by the grace of God enthralled,
fleeing for rescue
to the Redeemer*23
from a teeming and deceitful world
that founders because
it loves to build on sand,
and will not understand*24.
But to the one who trusts in Him, in His truth and word,
underneath are
the everlasting arms*25;
while glory abounds
so that there is no limit
to the life of the lost now found.
There is a door too narrow to admit any fat*26
and an immigration station
where the lost are shown to be found,
the foundlings are naturalised*27,
and the proud are seen to have undergone
a metamorphosis,
and become unrecognisable*28
but full of recognition.
There is another way
that seems right to man*29,
but the end of that
is a death that does not die*30,
a shame in name*31
that fought the grace of God*32,
that it might inherit due darkness,
like a candle put out,
but still smoking*33.
There is a kingdom
where holy awe
is the very air,
holy joy the light,
holy life the environment,
and all rejoice in the triumph of the Lamb*34,
sent to serve and to save*35.
His heart has acted as an open door,
to the penitent prisoner of sin who,
while the time is not past,
has entered by that door,
a narrow way
through the broad lands
of faith.
There is a kingdom
where the knowledge of God
is never missing,
the love of God is always found,
and the light of God is
never scattered,
focussed in Christ Jesus the Lord.
Therefore enter: there is the call
in Matthew 11:27-30, the promise in John 5:24,
the protection as in John 10:27-28,
and the peace that passes all understanding,
a thing most understandable
for those who know Him
sent that we might have a door,
and a floor and a foundation*36,
and above all this,
a consummation*37
of our creation
and a destiny of desire
that never departs.
IF AUSTRALIA WILL FOLLOW
If Australia will follow
the backward acceleration,
it can only bring to default
the entire nation*38
enshrined in a spurious bliss,
wild in unbiblical passion,
defective in effective faith,
man its object,
success its subject,
survival its agenda,
humanity its definition,
children laid waste with incompetent
pseudo-academic dreams,
instead of instruction for life,
wild imagining
instead of ground for a worship,
one not of man but of God,
in whose name the nation
by its initial declaration
has been at the formal level,
instituted.
If this nation, once apportioning land for churches,
now defiling, with feckless ideologies,
the children,
a blessed island-continent,
once having reliance on Almighty God
at least in its mouth,
and certainly in its Constitution,
pre-amble or not,
in direct and agreed statement and consensus,
wants to appoint ownership
whether in specious phrase,
or litigious declamation,
in inferential attribution,
or poetic rambling,
to make this mockery of the land God created,
or institute differential rights, or rites for itself as now,
or both,
before the God who created all men,
to one or more constituent races,
from which variously,
in time, ancient or recent,
of stress or peace,
its one people has come,
while enabling in no small measure,
the inviolability of one,
distinct but variable religion,
as if all sources were not equal
before God:
if it elevates what is but the same,
among men,
thus instituting division,
based on godlessness of thought,
following this or that race or echelon of society,
and only advancing the confused contradictions;
if it lives financially
on an atheist nation,
far off,
and fashions its morals upon survival:
why then should it differ from other diversionists ?
Indeed if it should suffer
a parallel to Britain's Dunkirk in type,
who would rescue it,
as God rescued Britain when King George VI
and even the War Office
called for a national day of prayer*39?
To whom would it turn,
since it is increasingly and formally becoming
divorced from God,
in order to follow
a national spiritual vacuum
except for the dust ?
If it will distance ever more from the Bible,
divorce from the very division
between the sacred and the secular,
while inventing and investing the nation
with its own scared, scarred and diversionary thoughts,
wandering amid empty phrases
and unbased conundrums:
how can it differ from the other plagued people,
or fail to inherit their follies!
Is it that irrationality*40
like bird 'flu,
has found one more nation
in whose heart to dwell,
in whose heat to swell,
while faithlessness and immorality
are blessed as the way to govern,
if not in word always, then in deed,
and economic inducements
are flung intemperately
and without understanding at some,
as if to impress the angels,
while they merely futilely
substitute the superficial,
for truth, morality and
godliness,
for grace, unvarying responsibility
and realism.
Indeed, if those whom they seek divisively
to advantage,
lords of privilege instead of recipients of due generosity,
which spills over even to Canberra,
in terms of 'our land',
and physical strivings to impress authority,
then what does it resemble ?
it resembles ancient Israel in its controversy with the God of its help,
and draws near to the desolations of Isaiah 59, which climaxed the case,
before the Lord intervenes (Isaiah 59:20).
But what does it say ?
"Justice is turned back,
and righteousness stands afar off;
for truth has fallen in the street,
And equity cannot enter."
If you flow downward
long enough,
fast enough
with little restraint,
and increasing torrential passion,
with the very skies falling upon you,
will there not be floods at the bottom,
and that not merely of spoiled water
and incidental debris,
but of disordered waste,
product of impiety,
result of unreason,
misfashioned by
the wild waters,
as man defies God
and invents his own gods,
disguised as philosophy,
ineffective but for ruin.
If this is imagery, the result is not imaginary!
There is little that is new
in this condition,
in world history,
of renegacy and ruin;
thus but underlies the point
that unless there be
a huge change in this nation,
it will
at least in severity,
be something new for Australia.
Novelty is not always entertaining.
Smoke in spiritual surds,
imported from anywhere, so long as they are contrary to the basis of our national life,
from the first,
and the hallucinogenic and unhallowed
will quickly find here one more quick invasion site.
It starts with morality,
ungodliness,
licence,
blithe or baneful
self-assurance in the blas
clouds of rampant thought,
and ends in the cods of unrepentant
results,
untempered, clad with mortality
to remind of immorality, with judgment,
to remind of forsaken
opportunity.
Rejoice in your new nationhood,
O land,
but if it is to be so recent,
it is already old in type,
with reneging its name.
It is those who wait upon the Lord
who renew their strength,
while those who draw weight
from disastrous, vagrant and variable
spiritual taskmasters
find but spiritual blindness,
their guide,
bound hands,
tired feet,
ready to be drive by each new passion.
There is one Gospel which never droops*41,
there are troops of pretenders,
who follow popularity as predicted
in II Peter 2 and II Timothy 3-4,.
who seethe with unwisdom,
often governing
in deadly wilfulness,
not by vision but by statistics,
not based on Rock,
but windswept sandhills,
fit for children in their joy,
but not in their lives,
far less for adults
in their governance.
There is one Saviour,
One only, who can restore,
one Christ*42,
long ago sacrificially nailed
and in three days giving
life instead of death,
and peace with God,
instead of quarrelsome contest,
instituting a gospel whose rejection
by man or nation,
is to sever help
and serve sin as in John 8,
till the marks of spoil mar
past all foulness,
and the capitulation to folly
declares itself openly.
Righteousness exalts a nation but
Sin is a reproach to any people.
A new sin or a new god is often sought,
as by Israel - Deuteronomy 32:17,
gods of nature often enough,
as now in this land;
but it is not to be found,
for we do not live by poetical infatuation,
idealistic or cynical dreams,
class warfare or battling procedures,
but by the truth.
A nation like a person resolves
to war on it,
or not,
and to bow to it,
or not,
to disregard intemperate clash,
or irresponsible dismissal, or
to ridicule the offer
as Christ was ridiculed in the flesh.
Each resolves this,
or not,
to teach fairly,
or airily,
to live
in God
or in shimmering waywardness,
llike those lost in the outback
but for the time,
seeking to enjoy it..
There is a time coming, and the aches of current civilisation,
such as it is in bloodthirsty move and counter-move
with more and more power to pollute,
is unfolding before our eyes,
with souls and minds and bodies,
snatched, secured, inured,
or left intemperately to decay:
and the judgment men so often crave
against one another,
will not loiter.
There is a time coming and an opportunity going.
Even a nation of character, which does not despise
its birth pangs,
or its reliance as a people,
on God Almighty,
as first proclaimed and set above all,
in the setting of the founders,
one that does not abrogate the basics
of the past in favour of anything imaginable:
even this has hope.
But to the renegade, where freedom is becoming a case for shock treatment,
there is little left but pity.

"In the presence of the king and the prime minister, the Archbishop of Canterbury called on the help of the Almighty to save the British army, sentiments which were echoed in thousands of churches throughout Britain."
This is taken from the writing of Professor Duncan Anderson, under the title, "Spinning Dunkirk."
He notes further:
"On Sunday 2 June, the Dean of St Paul's referred to the 'miracle of Dunkirk'. During the following week papers were filled with letters from readers making an obvious association. It was remembered that the Archbishop of Canterbury had announced that the Day of National Prayer might well be a turning point, and it was obvious to many that God had answered the nation's collective prayer with the 'miracle of Dunkirk'. The evidence of God's intervention was clear for those who wished to see it; papers had written of calm seas and the high mist which interfered with the accuracy of German bombers."
Not only was there the deliverance of hundreds of thousands of troops, each one precious in soul and life, but Hitler did not then proceed with the plans concerning the invasion of England.
