In His Living and Unchanging Word of Life: Jesus Christ
Some may be unable to attend Church, or wanting further spiritual food from the Bible,
and hence this venue is provided.
We hope and pray it will bless your heart, increase your peace,
and above all, lead you to the Lord, either to find Him, or if you have found
Him,
to rejoice the more in His strength and grace, love and victory.
Because of space considerations,
it is planned to maintain three sermons in AUDIO format, removing and adding
periodically. The sermons at the top will be audio, and
so marked. However, the earlier sermons will remain
for hyperlink reference to the typed sermon notes; their audio versions
are currently available,
though no longer on the web.
The latest sermon will be placed under REVISED AUDIO on the Home Page. It is planned to replace this from time to time, while the written sermons appear more or less weekly.
Three others will be maintained in this file.

Wrestling, Rest and Realisation

Here we
consider the reality of rest with realism towards the Redeemer.
What abuses the human mind in irrational fantasies is literally rubbish; and
it is not surprising that what follows it, in departing from the faith,
is called chaff for burning, subject of divine curse, in
the Bible!
Such errors are as rubbish, for the flames. They CANNOT endure.
(Matthew 3:13, 13:40-43, Luke 3:17
cf. Isaiah 8:20, II Corinthians 11:3-4.12-15,
Galatians 1:6-9, Psalm 90:1-2,102:25-28, John 1:3, 4:22-24, Romans 1:!7-22).
Here what man deems wisdom, God calls foolishness (Romans 1:17ff.).
The revelation of Jesus Christ brings the adoration of God to the light of
truth:
for the Truth has come to man. THERE is rest!

It is an exposition, based on
Psalms 116 with 118 (Messianic),
the latter cited in the New Testament on Palm Sunday,
which became thus in one way, Psalm Sunday!
It enters on the note that the foundation for the faith
and faith's fundamentals
are by no means the same,
and proceeds to look at the Psalms before building the theme.
We must always remember this:
that as shown in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20,
we must PREACH the Gospel
and also TEACH ALL that He has commanded.
The former is the gift, the other is the work
of grace in you as in
John 14:21-23.
